It is here again! The departmental football ritual which occurs every academic session between the newly admitted students( the Freshers) and the current department team consisting of Staylites in 200 and 300 level.
The previous session football tournament was fantastic as it had every spectator on the edge of their seats, some stood in excitement while some kept screaming as the players tossed and kicked the ball about on the field.
An hour later, after a very intense match, the final whistle was blown and the Freshers team plunged into jubilation as they had won the match by scoring 4 thrilling goals against the Staylites who could not find the back of the net.
A truly Captivating moment !!
( snaps fingers twice) Now, to the present:
Can a new set of people from different states across the Nation ignite collective composure , unite and defeat a team of players who have been training together for years ??
Will the Department Team maintain their Steeze and once again reclaim the trophy for the Staylites ? ?
The answers to these questions and the euphoria of this victory or defeat can be witnessed live at 4pm on Thursday, 4th of July, at the SUB pitch .
