The National Association of Political Science Students, University of Ibadan legislative council held her first senate sitting for the second semester of the 2023/2024 session on Friday, 22nd of November 2024 in Room 022. The sitting started around 11:00 am and had representatives from different organs in the department present.
The total number of senators present at the sitting was 20. Also in attendance were four members of the executive organ and five pressmen.
Following the sitting’s agenda, issues ranging from NAPSS TV, NAPSS Southwest National Convention, NAPSS shirt, end of the session package, the formation of the NAPSS research club and other issues were debated by the senators in attendance.
According to reports given by the executive council, currently, 226 NAPSSites have paid their basic dues. However, NAPSSites are yet to pay for the association’s shirt.
Also, the Senate President urged the Executive President to leave at least +#100,000 for the next administration. “The previous administration left #105,676.13 in the association’s logically, the current administration should seek sponsorship to cater for the association.
