POSSPRESS Set to Hold 4th Edition of Annual Billy Dudley Symposium

The political Science Students’ Press Organization (POSSPRESS) is set to hold the 4th edition of Billy Dudley annual  Symposium. The symposium is set to take place at the Small Lecture Theatre in the Faculty of the Social Sciences by 11am on the 5th of February,2025.

This Symposium will explore the theme: “From a Beacon of Economic Growth in Africa to a Struggling Economy: Can Nigeria Ever Realize Its Economic Potential?” The theme will be analyzed by four Esteemed Panelists: Adebayo Abdulrahman, John Olorunfemi, Dr. Muritala Monsour, and Dr. Aderemi Busari.

Furthermore, NAPSS L&D has collaborated with POSSPRESS and will be having a Speech Craft Event on that day themed “Proelium Eloquii” (translated from Latin as Battle of Eloquence), to showcase the power of rhetoric and persuasive speech. Speakers from  the Literary and Debating Society will debate on the topic : “Should Abortion Be a Fundamental Human Right, or Should It Be Restricted or Banned?”

This event is open to all who appreciate thought-provoking discussions and seek to enhance their eloquence and critical thinking skills.
