Ogunleye Kolapo Olayemi
The National Association of Political Science Students (NAPSS), University of Ibadan chapter, inaugurated the 2024/2025 Senate and elected new principal officers yesterday, February 24, 2025, marking a new era in the department’s legislative body.
The sitting began in the early hours of Monday, with all departmental principal officers presenting their stewardship reports. This was followed by the formal dissolution of the 2023/2024 Senate, headed by the former Senate President, Senator Sunday Noah Kayode, and the inauguration of the 2024/2025 Senate.
The highlight of the sitting was the election of new Senate principal officers. The following senate members were elected and inaugurated as the principal members.
Senate President: Olayinka Ayomide Anne
Deputy Senate President: Oladigbo Victor Inioluwa
Chief Whip: Ekwebelem Judith Chizaram
House Clerk: Akinbusuyi Emmanuel Olayemi
The sitting concluded with the presentation of certificates of participation to the members of the 2023/2024 Senate.
