The Faculty of the Social Sciences Students’ Association (FATSSSA) House of Representatives (FHR), University of Ibadan, has removed three honourable members from their honorary positions over consistent absence from meetings.
In a release issued yesterday, 16 September 2026, the FHR announced the removal of Hon. Olawasina Joseph Didaraloluwa, of 100-level Sociology constituency; Hon. Babs Dynamics, of 200-level Political Science constituency; and Hon. Oladosu Waris, of 400-level Political Science constituency.
The action follows the provision of the FATSSSA FHR Constitution. Article 17, Section (11) states that any honourable member shall not be absent from any of its meetings, irrespective of their post, and that consistent absence from three consecutive FHR meetings, with or without excuse, shall be deemed to forfeit his or her seat.
In the same memo, the FHR also issued a notice concerning Hon. Izukanne Francmmis Obinna, a 100-level Sociology constituency student, who reportedly resigned from his honorary position as a faculty honourable member to pursue his political ambition.
