The Dean, Faculty of the Social Sciences, Prof. O.O. Akanji, has announced that all lectures and other scheduled academic activities in the Faculty will be suspended between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
The announcement was contained in a notice signed and circulated by the FATSSSA executive.
According to the notice, the suspension is to enable students and members of the Faculty to participate fully in a Faculty Lecture titled “Quantum Redirections and ‘the Field’ in Global Social Science,” which will be delivered by Professor Oka Obono.
Prof. Akanji encouraged students to take advantage of the opportunity to attend the lecture and participate actively in the intellectual engagement.
