Interview With Miss Chidinma Precious Sunday Aspirant For the Office of the General Secretary

POSSPRESS: Good evening, my name is adewale oluwatobi , a correspondent of POSSPRESS , this is an interview aimed to deliberate on your aspiration for the position of General Secretary of the department. Please, kindly introduce yourself.

Miss chidinma: Okay, good evening my name is Chidinma Precious Sunday, A 300level student in the Department of Political Science.

POSSPRESS:Good, let’s proceed with the interview. Firstly, what motivated you to contest for the office of the general Secretary?

Miss chidinma :Well, how do I phrase it? My motivation would probably be the fact that I want to have an impact on my department’s politics I want to learn something new and impact life as I do so  and being a part of  leadership, I felt would be the first step .Well, the post of a general Secretary is one of great leadership, and coupled with the fact that if I’m elected that means students of Napss choose me to represent them and that I must do, that is why leadership is key. And to also push myself.

POSSPRESS: With this explanation, do you think you have what it takes in terms of qualities and strength to match the position of general secretary you are vying for?

Miss chidinma:Yes I do, I believe every strength and quality are things that need to show in my action and not just words or thoughts, and that is what I plan to do, show it in my action. Thank you.

POSSPRESS: Okay, how would you describe the core responsibility of general secretary?

Miss chidinma: So apart from managing, documenting, and ensuring that information is properly passed at the right time, to serve as a  link between the student and the executive is also prerequisite.

POSSPRESS: Do you think your leadership ability and skills  align with the role of general secretary?

Miss chidinma:Well, the post of a general Secretary is one of great leadership, and coupled with the fact that if I’m elected that means students of Napss choose me to represent them and their interest in that post, and that I must do, that is why leadership is key. Thank you.

POSSPRESS: How do you intend to maintain transparency and accountability if elected as the general secretary of the department?

Miss chidinma:One of the roles of the General Secretary is to ensure that information about each meeting is disseminated to all students of that department. So I will ensure that I always keep Napss aware of everything at every point in time

POSSPRESS: Okay miss chidinma , are you promising us an itch- free administration from your own end if elected as the general secretary of the department?

Miss chidinma: Well, I can’t promise you that there won’t be challenges, struggles, or issues; if I should, then I would probably be lying. But what I can say is that I will do my best to ensure that we can have a smooth administration, and with the help of the entire executive, I believe it will be a fruitful and impactful term.

POSSPRESS: So what  type of challenges are you expecting and how do you intend to handle them?

Miss chidinma:Hmmmmm. I really don’t know because I don’t think people plan or even want challenges; it just happens. So I’m just saying that when the time comes, by the grace of God I will do my best as the General Secretary to handle them right.

POSSPRESS: Thank you for sparing your time for this interview….is there any other thing you would  like to add?
