Interviewer: Hello,,Can you introduce yourself ?
P.R.O: I’m Arogundade Louis Ifeoluwa. A 300l student of the department
Interviewer: Which office do you hold?
P.R.O: Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NAPSS
Interviewer: Is it true that NAPSS Tv was recently created
P.R.O: Yes. That is correct.
We officially began it’s operation on the 1st of June 2024.
Interviewer: Whose initiative was it to create the Tv?
P.R.O: The initiative arose during our first executive meeting in our quest for a massive publicity. We saw the need to create a TV for our department here in UI aside the combined Southwest TV which was proposed by the last administration.
Interviewer: You keep saying ‘we’ . Who are these ‘we’?
P.R.O: Myself and the other executives.
Interviewer: Why was this Tv Created?
P.R.O: This TV was created to aid our overall publicity.
Our vision now is to make other social handles which are X and Instagram grow by creating contents on the TV and then channeling Napssites to our social media handles through the links.
Also it will aid the distribution of information concerning every Napssite on time.
Interviewer: About how many NAPSSites are on this Tv?
P.R.O: I don’t know how many Napssites are on the TV right now. Because the links go out to both Napssites and Non-Napssites.
The figures we have are still very low.
Interviewer: Do you think this low figure is caused by NAPSSites not having an idea that the Tv was created?
P.R.O: That is to Napssite who are not very active on social media, because, I’ve tried every possible way and still trying to get more views.
Things will definitely get better when students resume fully back to school.
Interviewer: Do you know if the link to the tv has never been sent to some classes?
P.R.O: I don’t think so. It has been sent to all classes.
Moreover I’ve sent it to the general group a number of times.
Interviewer: Why are you so sure about that?
P.R.O: Because I made sure the links were sent to the class groups I’m not in which is the 200 and 400level. The AGS told me he did and also I’m pretty sure the president did the same.
Interviewer: Are you , the PRO, solely in charge of posting on the tv?
P.R.O: Presently, I’m not the one in charge of posting on the TV.
I’m in charge of the PR and affairs of the TV while the Social Director (fllo) is the one posting on the TV.
As for the content we are both contributing to that.
Interviewer: About how many views does the tv get ?
P.R.O: To be precise the visible ones we see are a maximum of 40.
Interviewer: Which platform is this tv launched on?
P.R.O: WhatsApp Business.
Interviewer: Will this tv be restricted to issues in the department or beyond?
P.R.O: Beyond.
Interviewer: Will the tv be commercialized?
P.R.O: Yes it will. But for now, our plan is to grow that audience in the first semester.
Then second semester we can look at what we have.
Interviewer: Can you highlight some examples of what is being displayed on the tv?
P.R.O: News, indigenous historical stories, Political trends and activities, Memes, word of the day, motivational quotes.
