Prior, to the gubernatorial election, many Nigerian celebrities such as Toyin Abraham took to their spcial media account to announce to the world of their choice of candidates and the party they would love to win the election. Unfortunately, for known personality like Toyin Abraham, whom received lots of backlashand and continued cyber bulling by socialmedia users for her choice of candidates.
However, she took to her instagram and responded to the negativity being attached to her name saying:
“You think I’m a social media actresss or I got my fame from social media.. Omoh I’m grass root to the core and you see those ones they’re loyal to the core cos they respect people’s choice and they know I have right to choose whoever I want.”
She also responded to several trolls issued against her choice and her body shape using hashtag such as” #Asiwajubaby #Skinnyleg #elesetoothpick #toothpickleg #Omoluabi”
Many of her fans still continue to disagree with her choice and soon this love they had for her once, soon turned into a nightmare, as many went as far to write to big Enterprise such as Netflix, where Toyin stands as a stakeholder to remove all her movies being released on their platform because of her choice in the wrong candidate. Some also wrote to the Checkers brand, a custard company whom signed Toyin as their brand ambassador, to dissolve every ties with Toyin for her choice.
Nonetheless, the actress still holds her ground and support her preferred candidate.
