Nigerians are yet to get over the awesome looks trending across the internet from the 2025 edition of met gala, before the made in Nigeria met gala cooked! Africa magic viewers’ choice awards popularly known as AMVCA, an award show usually organized annually to celebrate talented hands in Africa.
The year’s edition sparked debates, comments and reaction from Nigerians regarding the efforts of Nigerian fashion designers, its evolution, success and relevance in the global arenaThe event which was held at Eko hotels on Saturday, 10th of May 2025, saw the presence of series of Nigerian and African celebrities dazzling at the show.
Hosted by IK Osakioduwa to recognize and celebrate the efforts of celebrities in the Entertainment industry. Which in return allowed for the display of the beauty, fashion, and artwork. Celebrities like Mercy Aigbe, Nancy Isime, Lateef Adedimeji and Mobimpe, Awolumate(Kie-Kie), Bimbo Ademoye, Destiny Etiko, Liquorose, Chioma Chuwkuka, Femi Adebayo, Chizzy Alichi various actors and actresses were all in attendance.
While slaying on the Red-Carpet of the Star-studded event with exquisite, elegant dresses, designer wears from different fashion brands which literally blew minds away and attracted comments that the efforts of all designers utilized for the awesome looks should not go unnoticed

The AMVCA 2025 which has awards in 28 different categories, which the awardees included Chioma Chukwuka and Femi Adebayo as Best Lead-Actress and Best Lead-Actor of the year respectively following their movie which really went all around late last year SEVEN DOORS. Actress Mercy Aigbe also won the Best Supporting Actress of the year. Lateef and Mobimpe Adedimeji took home the best dressed couple’s award.In special recognition Veteran Nollywood Actors Nkem Owoh and Sani Mu’azu received Life Achievements reward, also director Kayode Kasum received a Trailblazer Award for his exceptional Story-telling.Actor Lateef Adedimeji and wife, Actress Mobimpe emerged at the Best Dressed Couple for AMVCA and Actor Lateef Adedimeji was also awarded for the movie LISABI: The Uprising which bagged the Best Indigenous Language Film [West Africa]
