The University of Ibadan has officially released the course registration schedule for the 2025/2026 academic session, urging students to adhere strictly to the outlined deadlines to avoid penalties.
According to a statement published on the school official website, online course registration will commence on 5 March 2026 and run for a period of six weeks, ending on 16 April 2026. During this period, students are expected to complete their registration processes promptly.
Following the initial registration phase, a two-week window from 16th of April to 30th of April 2026 has been allocated for the correction of registration errors by students. Simultaneously, lecturers will review and approve course registrations within the same timeframe to ensure accuracy and compliance with academic requirements.
The university further announced that the course registration portal will close on 1st of May 2026. However, students who miss the deadline will have an opportunity to complete their registration during a late registration period scheduled from 4th of May to 18th of May 2026.
The management emphasized that late registration will attract penalty fees. Students who fail to complete school fee payments or make no payment by 30 April 2026 will be required to pay a penalty of ₦20,000. Additionally, students who have paid their fees but failed to register their courses by the deadline will be required to pay a penalty fine of ₦10,000.
The final closure of the registration portal is fixed for 18 May 2026, after which any request for reopening the portal will attract an additional penalty of ₦10,000 per month, regardless of the reason.
The university administration advised all students to take the online registration seriously and complete all necessary procedures within this time frame.
