Sequel to the election conducted on Saturday, April 6 2024, the NAPSS executive council for the 2022/2023 administration has successfully handed power over to the newly elected executive council. The handover event which took place today, Tuesday, April 30 2024 in the HOD’s, Professor Pogoson office had in attendance the assistant HOD, Prof. Bukola, the course adviser, Dr. Idachaba and Dr. Godwin. The event lasted an hour from 12 pm-1 pm.
While making her address, Prof. Pogoson lauded the immediate past President, Johnson Victor for working together with the department management to serve and protect the interests of NAPSSites. She also admonished the gathering to always raise the flag of the department and University wherever they might find themselves. To conclude her speech, she wished the new executive council luck and promised to work hand-in-hand with them till her tenure as HOD expires in the coming months.
In his address, the newly elected President, Samuel Oluwadamilare, expressed gratitude to the department management and NAPSSites in general. He rounded off his speech with a promise to remain steadfast in serving the interests of the association and bringing to life the plans he highlighted in his manifesto titled “Unifier and Intellectualism Agenda”.
