The Department of Political Science (POS) on Thursday, 22nd of August 2024 played their third leg fixture against the Department of Psychology and won with a penalty shootout.
In the first half of the game, Political Science dominated and controlled the pace of the game. The first half ended goalless with both teams unable to register a goal but efforts were made from both sides to get on the scoresheet.
The second half of the Social Science derby failed to spark a turnaround. Despite a more entertaining display, the scoreline remained stagnant, and Political Science maintained its grip on the game.
The Social Science derby ended in a 0-0 draw, with both sides unable to break the deadlock. The tie was ultimately decided by a penalty shootout.
At the end of the shootout, POS emerged victorious with a 9-8 win claiming the bronze medal.
