Students
at the University of Ibadan will return to class on March 9, 2023, instead of
March 14, as originally scheduled.
Resumption
time was rescheduled because of the postponement of the gubernatorial and
National Assembly elections, which had been set for 11th March, 2023, but were
rescheduled for 18th March, 2023.
“Consequent upon the postponement of the
Gubernatorial and States House of Assembly elections by the Independent
Electoral Commission, the University community is hereby informed that virtual
lectures for students will continue until Friday, 17 March 2023.” as
announced by the Management of the University through the school Bulletin.
The
announcement further suggests that students are expected to fully resume the
semester academic activities physically on the 20th of March, 2023 while earlier the University has begun the
virtual classes on the 27th of February, 2023.
