Project writing as perceived by many students is one of the most challenging, if not the most challenging academic task in the university. Ranging from trying to choose topics, the search for academic materials, analysis, data collection etc. some student often get worried due to the first time of conducting a long research and analysis. The question of “are we supposed to know how to write project suddenly without prior knowledge on what a project entails” often cross the mind of most final year and penultimate student.
In the early hours of Thursday, students of the department of political science and other sister disciplines graced the project writing seminar, as organized by team synergy, to provide valuable insights and knowledge to students on the nitty gritty of project writing. The event started at exactly 10am, with the opening address which was given by the president of the association, Mr Adebare. In attendance were Mr Ijaya, a lecturer in the department, Miss Adewunmi Adebimpe, principal officers of the association and students across all level.
Mr Ijaya gave an address regarding the steps of project writing, while Miss Adebimpe took a session on general life/student matter and ways of navigating project writing. Attendees were given the opportunity for questions and answers session. Following this was a vote of thanks which was given by Mr Ogundeji Damilare, the course rep for 400-level constituency. Refreshments were shared to the attendees. Also awards of recognition was presented to the speakers by the principal officers of the association. The programme ended with a closing remarks which was given by the vice president of the association.
