The Faculty of The Social Sciences at the University of Ibadan is gearing up to compete against Obafemi Awolowo University’s Faculty of Social Sciences in an event themed ‘CONCURUSUS SOCIALIUM’ which is translated to “CLASH OF SOCIALS.” The event, which aims to foster social solidarity between the two institutions, will involve a football match between the two faculties.
The CLASH OF SOCIALS is a highly anticipated event, as it not only brings together the two faculties of social sciences from two of the country’s leading universities but also provides an opportunity for students from other institutions to showcase their talents and network with their counterparts from other universities. With the support of UNILAG, OUI, and Lead City University, the event is expected to create awareness for other Social Sciences Student Associations in Nigeria, as stated in the special release 074.
The match between the two faculties is seen as a historic event, as it brings together the Most Beautiful Campus (Obafemi Awolowo University) and the Premier University (University of Ibadan) in a friendly competition. Both universities have a long-standing reputation for academic excellence.
The Clash of Socials is expected to foster greater understanding and cooperation between the two faculties and their respective institutions.
These activities are designed to promote networking among the students and faculty members from both institutions.
