Be my val or be my pal? This is the question running across the minds of students, in this month of love. Would I be someone’s Val or not? Who would be my Romeo to my Juliet or vice versa? Feelings floating in the air, everyone turning to poets by the dawn of day, the aroma of cupcakes, friends sharing a laugh and just living in the moment, crushes looking to make their move, gifts sales on the bumble and lovers hidden away.
What say you FATSSSAites? Still stalling on ways to ask that person and enjoy yourself. Here, are steps you could take.
TIPS FOR SHOOTING YOUR SHOT
FOR LOVERS
- Send a lovely text or go all poetic like Shakespeare with a love letter, trust me it isn’t archaic
- You can reflect on your feelings, reshoot your shot and make sparks fly again
- Rekindle the moment of how you met up until now
- Celebrate!!! However you chose to do it is up to you be it love tokens, promises, kisses and hugs. It’s all up to you and I tell no secrets
FOR FRIENDS
- For those who have your back, those who make you happy, sad, cry, yell or are annoying but brings the best of you. Then this is the time, to do something nice and appreciate them.

FOR CRUSHES
- Be confident and say what you feel, if you’re not, being clumsiness can be alluring
- Be calm to get a response
- Bring the charm
- Most importantly, be honest but not too honest, just a touch
- And don’t forget to share a laugh after
SELF- LOVE ️
- While you are busy taking care of others don’t forget to care for yourself, mind, body and soul while reassuring yourself that you are worth receiving love not only just giving. Remember the best love one can give to yourself is to “Work on being a better and stable You”
