University of Ibadan track and field team continued with another category of Interfaculty tournament, the 4 x 4 relay which was held at Awo Stadium on Thursday, 22nd of August, 2024. The tournament took place to select 4×4 relay representatives from the University of Ibadan for the Southwest games.
The event started at 5:30 pm. The Officials registered the available teams and positioned the male athletes on the track for the 4 x 4 men relay.
A total of 12 teams registered. The male teams had representation from the Faculties of BAMSSA, Clinical Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, Economics, Agriculture, Technology and the Faculty of Science.
The female teams had representation from the faculties of BAMSSSA, RNR, Economics , and Agric
The 4×4 men relay saw an intense display of speed and resilience from the competitors and it ended with the top 5 faculties being the Faculties of BAMSSSA, Tech, Agric, Social Sciences, and Economics.
The 4×4 women’s relay concluded and the teams finished in the order of 1st to 4th being the Faculties of RNR, Economics, Agric, and BAMSSSA
The top five male teams and the four female teams would be representing University of Ibadan at the Southwest games .
