The University of Ibadan has officially released the schedule for the closing of its student registration portal for the 2024/2025 academic session. According to an internal memorandum issued by the Senior Deputy Registrar (SAAI), Mrs. Stella O. Soola, and addressed to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), the Senate approved the timeline during its meeting held on April 28, 2025.The portal will be open for registration as follows:Freshers: February 17 to June 6, 2025
Returning Students: April 14 to June 6, 2025
Late Registration: June 9 to June 27, 2025
A late registration fee of ₦20,000 will be applied to students who fail to complete their registration within the regular window.The memo further noted that the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) has advised Deans to encourage students to apply for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and ensure timely registration.
The communication was also copied to all Deans, the Director of ITeMS, and the Deputy Registrar (ERA), emphasizing the need for widespread dissemination and compliance.This development is part of the university’s efforts to streamline academic processes and ensure prompt registration for all students.
