The National Association of Political Science Students (NAPSS), University of Ibadan, has officially launched its 2025 Freshers Writing Challenge, first of its kind, aimed at initiating and promoting creativity among newly admitted students of the department.Themed “Utilization of Technological Skills for Academic Excellence as an Undergraduate Student,” the writing competition invites freshers to explore how digital tools and innovations can enhance learning, research, and academic productivity in the modern university environment.
According to the official announcement, the competition is exclusively open to freshers in the department and requires a submission of exactly 500 words. All entries must be sent via email to napss2021.ui@gmail.com on or before the 11th of May, 2025.
Incentives for participation are high, as the best three entries will be announced during the much-anticipated NAPSS Freshers Orientation Day. Winners will likely receive recognition and prizes to commemorate their outstanding contributions.
This initiative highlights NAPSS UI’s drive to engage the fresh men intellectually, while aiming to encourage critical thinking through creative expression.
