Interviewer: Kindly introduce yourself and the office you are vying for.
Azeezat: I’m Azeezat Omotayo Awodele an. A 100-level student of the Department of Political Science. I’m vying for the office of the Assistant General Secretary. AGS.
Interviewer: Wow! This is a good one. You’re politically inclined, I hope I’m right.
Azeezat: Absolutely, Yes sir.
Interviewer: Do you know the constitutional duties attached to your office?
Azeezat: Constitutionally, according to Article 9, Section 9, my role as the Assistant General Secretary, is to assist the General Secretary in performing his or her duties, assist every executive Council member and perform specific duties assigned to me. I’m to keep note of the names of members that attend all executive meetings, and also assist in managing the affairs of the Secretariat.
Interviewer: Okay. How well-equipped are you for the job?
Azeezat: I believe I’m vibrant and dedicated. Which is the major prerequisite for the office. I’m out-spoken, diligent, and smart which makes me prepared for the office. As you know as the Assistant to the Secretary-General, I can take up her duty anything he or she is not available. I hope this answers your question
Interviewer: Vibrant lady, that is a good one. Why do you think you are qualified for the Office?
Azeezat: I believe what makes me distinguished and most qualified for the position is My Experience in several organizations such as School settings, International Organizations and summits. Also, my interaction with experienced leaders.
Interviewer: Do you have any political experience?
Azeezat: Yes, I once had an opportunity to head a position while I’m in secondary school. However, I see this position as a medium for me to unleash my potential too and at the same time learn along the line.
Interviewer: You said you have served in several organizations. Can you mention a few?
Azeezat:
1. Tedx Alliance way.
2. Young Adult Summit (YAS).
3. African Young Movement. (AYM)
4. And also Fuel Africa.
Interviewer: What do they do in this organization, and what post do you hold?
Azeezat: Tedx Alliance Way is an organization that majors in bringing out people’s hidden potential such as Tech Creativity, Writing Skills, Public Speaking, Management, and many more. And I was opportune to serve here as a volunteer and I made an impact in writings the Quotebook.
Moving on in YAS it’s a submission that exposes people to several opportunities in the digital world like copywriting, Digital Marketing, social media management, and many more.
YAS also teaches how to overcome some critical issues one may face in one line of success, such as frustration and so on. I serve here as a member.
AYM is a medium that breeds leaders in Africa. I serve here as a keynote speaker.
Fuel Africa encourages students to be independent in institutions and it was to celebrate Cancer days then. I serve here as a participant.
Interviewer: What position did you hold in your secondary school?
Azeezat: The position I held, while I was in secondary school, was a Library Perfect.
Interviewer: What spurred you to enter politics?
Azeezat: I believe and I know with me being in politics I can correct some irregularities in the society and at the same time make people feel a sense of belonging.
Interviewer: That’s a good one. What do you consider to be NAPSITES’ major problem?
Azeezat: What I observed as the major problem for NAPSSITES is that students sometimes feel far from the activities in the administration. You here my colleagues say _”when do you guys do this….”_, “I don’t know anything oo”
Interviewer: How would you approach this “problem”?
Azeezat: I shall create an event where students will have an interactive discussion about political issues and social issues. With this students will get to know and learn from seniors’ experiences.
Interviewer: Hmm… do you think that is feasible?
Azeezat: It is, because it is an event that will be conducted once in 2 weeks and as political science students, our major duty is to analyze politics. Therefore, we all will like to enhance our knowledge and practicalize what we study theoretically.
I have sought feasibility from experienced seniors on how it can be implemented continuously from the time being and I had been assured and guided on how to do so. Also, through the office of the PRO, more publicity shall be done to make students aware of the upcoming program.
Interviewer: If you have to rate the current administration on a scale of 1-10. How will you rate them and why?
Azeezat: 8, because they overlook some petty issues, especially the relationship between freshers and Staylites. However, they have been performing quite well and I learnt a lot from them all.
Interviewer: Okay.

Azeezat: Yes, and the experience I have heard my colleagues talk about.
Interviewer: What key initiatives do you want to launch in the first semester if elected?
Azeezat: The interactive event I discussed earlier. A constant poll at least once a month to know what students need at the moment.
