While the sophomores are excited! “At least we won’t longer we seen as the newbies” freshers are there to exercise superiority over, its expected, not even after the harsh reality of the BOL. The new session comes with different plans, aspirations, intentions, etc and most importantly how to survive the system.
For the political science student, the sophomore year presents the phase of growth, pressure, discovery and striving to stay on track. Either my lord may I rejected you or you rejected it, make POS no reject you join, The sophomore level comes with a different experience entirely, it includes challenges on how to strive for academic success, lecturers already expecting the Hannah Arendt and Aristotle in you. It has also brought the student gradually to the core of her discipline, the workloads are heavier and the courses are becoming more bulky dealing with theories, which demand more critical thinking and skills.
The student moves from trying to pass courses to gradually understanding the discipline. It is also expected of the student to read widely and ahead of classes, managing deadlines for assignment and group works, prepare for tests and presentations and learn how to prioritize her time to balance academic life with other things.
The student is more involved in departmental activities, active participation in group works and presentations, juggling other co-curricular activities which will help in building their communication skills and reveal their capacity to adapt and learn. As a sophomore, the adventure deepens, it’s both overwhelming, interesting, adventurous and sometimes tiring at the same time. it is also demanding due deadlines, striving to engage in political discussions and analysis, trying to be strategic while choosing electives {make two birds no use one stone kill me}, accommodation issues and unexpected bills the most annoying part is the accommodation issues and unexpected bills, calling dad on Saturday morning to check up on him, but dad and I know the reason for the call.
This phase as a sophomore of the department of political science comes with demands and sacrifice, striking a balance on academic and personal life while fusing in some latent functions into it. Striving to maintain a good grade without looking worn out. Maintaining good relationship with course mates make updates no pass my side as well as trying to understand the essence of the course and preparing for the future.
