University of Ibadan, through its Student Affairs Division, has opened the accommodation application portal for staylites seeking spaces in the institution’s halls of residence for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a notice issued by the division, the accommodation module on the student portal became accessible to returning students, particularly non-final year “staylites,” from 8:00 a.m. on March 12, 2026.
The division noted that the application process for fresh students and final-year students had been closed, leaving only other returning students eligible to apply within the current window.
The notice explained that applicants are required to log into the university’s student portal, select the hall application option, and complete the online form by providing necessary details such as next-of-kin information, accommodation history, and health challenges where applicable.
Returning students are also expected to confirm their Jaja registration status before they can proceed to submit their hall application.
Students were further instructed to upload a recent passport photograph that meets the specified requirements, including a clear head-and-shoulders image with a white background, in JPG or PNG format, and not exceeding 1MB in size. The university warned that applications with photographs that do not meet the stated specifications will be rejected.
The Student Affairs Division added that successful applicants whose requests are accepted by hall wardens will be required to pay their hall fees and basic hall dues through the portal before room allocation is completed. Students are expected to print their accommodation slip and hall identity card after payment, which must be presented upon arrival at their assigned halls of residence.
