The sessional 2025 NAPSS-UI general elections concluded on Wednesday with decisive victories across both executive and senate positions. Voter turnout was remarkably high, and most races produced clear margins showing the high level of mandates entrusted with the elected candidates by the electorates.
For the presidential candidates, Victor Oladigbo (The Pioneer) won the presidency with 78 votes (57.8%), finishing ahead of Agboola Micheal (Ardor), who secured 51 votes. Six votes were recorded as undecided.
Next to the position of presidency, The Vice President–Internal position was claimed by Ramadiyat Ogubere (Lady Politician) with 71 votes (52.6%), while her opponent, Ifeoluwa Ademola (Fayor Wa), received 59 votes. Five votes were undecided.
Secretariat positions saw some of the most commanding victories of the day, although contested unopposed. Oluwanifesimi Sunday (O-Sun) secured 111 votes (82.2%) to become General Secretary, while Eniola Alao (Ennyson) won the Assistant General Secretary office with 121 votes (89.6%).
For the Senate house, The Senate contests across the 100, 200, and 300 levels featured several near-unanimous wins, with many candidates securing overwhelming support from their constituencies.
