Interview With Mr Adewale Oluwaseun Michael Aspirant For the Office of the AGS

POSPRESS: Good afternoon I’m a correspondent of POSPRESS, My name is Akinsola Ayomide, kindly introduce yourself

Mr Adewale: I’m Adewale Oluwaseun Micheal,100 level student of the department of Political Science, I’m vying for the post of the assistant general secretary.

POSPRESS: Great let’s proceed with the interview.

Mr Adewale: Alright

POSPRESS: What are your understanding of the duties of the office of the AGS.

Mr Adewale: As stipulated in the constitution, there are three basic duties assigned to the assistant general secretary.Keeping of records during congress abd being of assistance to the general secretary and other executives.These are basic things I know I should be able to handle with the help of my mates and the executives if elected.

POSPRESS:Ok What qualities would you say you possess that makes you fit for this position

Mr Adewale: 1. Transparency 

2. Easy access and friendliness 

3. Tolerance 

4. Cooperation

All these listed qualities can be attested to by my mates.

POSPRESS: Ok 

As you know political offices come with a lot of criticism 

How do you plan to handle those

Mr Adewale:I have spoken with the current Assistant General Secretary and various seniors also, have been given lots of advices on how to handle some criticisms which I’ve penned down.Also from my end , I’ll try to find out what is the reason for the criticism and figure out a solution as we know no matter how hard you try, there’ll always be criticism.

POSPRESS:What problems do you think napssites face and how do you intend to solve them as ags

Mr Adewale:This should be the problem of cooperation.I know this is not one of my major duties, so it’ll be looked into together with the office of the Vice President if elected.One best way to combat this will be …  regular meetings across all levels, trying integrate everyone and also creating an avenue where every member of the department knows themselves, their strength and weaknesses.

POSPRESS: Ok, You mentioned transparency and accountability how do to intend to maintain that..

Mr Adewale: I intend to maintain transparency through updating NAPSSITES regularly, carrying them along through every processes taking by the association and also inclusivity in decision making.

POSPRESS: Anything else you want to say sir…?
