POSSPRESS Elects New Editorial Board

The Political Science Student Press Organization (POSSPRESS) held a handover meeting on Saturday, September 20, 2025. The handover also featured the election of a new editorial board for the next academic session.

The meeting, which began with an opening prayer, focused on reviewing the previous administration and outlining important areas for improvement. Members discussed several challenges faced by the organisation and suggested possible ways forward, including the need for greater accountability, professionalism, and improved communication.

The erstwhile E-in-C urged the new editorial board to organise press seminars for new members and maintain a clear press–executive dichotomy.

The following members were elected as the new editorial board:

Editor in Chief: Ogunleye Kolapo Olayemi Deputy Editor in Chief: Akinsola Ayomide

Managing Editor: Ayoolajesu Victoria

General Editor: Idris Adetola

Entertainment and Online Editor: Rhema Samson

News Editor: Adebanjo Zainab

Features Editor: Ageh Success

Politics Editor: Okonkwo Destiny

Sports Editor:Adewale Oluwatobi

The outgoing finalists and board members were presented with certificates of service.

The newly elected editorial board is expected to strengthen POSSPRESS’s operations, expand its media presence, and promote professionalism in student journalism.
